Description

OVERVIEW:

The ARMmbed Microcontrollers are a series ofARM microcontroller development boards designed for rapid prototyping.

The ARMmbed NXP LPC1768 is an easy-to-use MCUdevelopment board designed for rapid prototyping. At its heart is a powerful32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor running at 96 MHz with 512 KB flash and 32 KBRAM, which makes it far more capable than popular 8-bit prototypingalternatives. A comprehensive firmware library and plenty of sample code helpyou get your program up and running quickly, and a free online IDE and C++compiler means that no software installation is required. Downloading programsis as simple as using a USB flash drive (no external programmer is necessary).

The ARMmbed NXP LPC1768 Microcontroller inparticular is designed for prototyping all sorts of devices, especially thoseincluding Ethernet, USB, and the flexibility of lots of peripheral interfacesand FLASH memory. It is packaged as a small DIP form-factor for prototypingwith through-hole PCBs, stripboard and breadboard, and includes a built-in USBFLASH programmer.

It is based on the NXP LPC1768, with a 32-bitARM Cortex-M3 core running at 96MHz. It includes 512KB FLASH, 32KB RAM and lotsof interfaces including built-in Ethernet, USB Host and Device, CAN, SPI, I2C,"ADC, DAC, PWM and other I/O interfaces. The pinout above shows the commonly usedinterfaces and their locations.

The ARMmbed Microcontrollers provide experiencedembedded developers a powerful and productive platform for buildingproofs-of-concept. For developers new to 32-bit microcontrollers, ARMmbed providesan accessible prototyping solution to get projects built with the backing oflibraries, resources and support shared in the ARMmbed community.
