The Venus Engine brings a new level of responsiveness to the G7, along with the ability to overcome any tough lighting condition. With an ISO sensitivity range form 200-25600 that gears down to 100, you are ready to tackle bright conditions or longer shutter speeds.
The G7 has multiple burst shooting modes when you’re dealing with fast moving objects. Shoot up to 8 fps with AF-S, 6 fps with AF-C, and 6 fps with live view monitoring. For when you really need higher shutter power, the G7 has a 40 fps shooting mode with the electronic shutter. Coming to video, the G7 supports 4K UHD video at 30 and 24 fps and Full HD 1080p at 60 fps. The G7 excels in the autofocus field with the DFD (Depth-From-Defocus) technology. Capable of accurately focusing in lighting conditions as low as -4 EV, the DFD can quickly adjust focus in as little as 0.07 seconds.
While the G7 has a compact build, it still comes with rich controls. The 2.36m-Dot OLED Viewfinder has a vivid 10,000:1 contrast ratio for accurate live viewing, regardless of lighting conditions. The 3.0″ 1.04m-Dot Free-Angle Touchscreen makes navigation and live view intuitive.
